NOW THE REASON I SET UP THE LATER SQUARE BACK ONES TO ACCOMMODATE THE 70 AND NEWER CARS WITH TWO WIRE FIELD IS THE OLDER “ROUND” BACKS ARE VERY UNRELIABLE AND DO NOT HAVE THE OUTPUT THAT THESE CAN PRODUCE. RIGHT AT IDLE THESE ALTERNATORS START AT 60 AMPS.. WHERE YOU NEED IT THE MOST!THEY ARE BUILT TO MAKE IT TO CLOSE TO 100 AMPS. BUT IT DEPENDS ON INTERNALS OF ALTERNATOR AND HOW EACH TEST OUT WHEN DONE, ALL WILL BE BETWEEN 90 and 100. WAY BETTER THEN ORIGINAL 37 TO 50 AMPS.. WHILE NOT HIGH ENOUGH TO HURT YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. BEST PART IS THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL MOPAR!!!
YOU WILL NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR VOLTAGE REGULATOR TO THE ELECTRONIC ONE WHEN INSTALLING THIS ALTERNATOR.. DO NOT USE THE ORIGINAL POINTS STYLE. IT WILL NOT HANDLE THIS ALTERNATORS OUTPUT
